INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual therapy, also called talk therapy, is facilitated by a trained psychotherapist. Talk therapy is a great way to explore problems, gain insight, learn new ways of thinking and being. Talk therapy may help you learn more about yourself, your relationships, make sense of the world around you and your place in it. If you are interested in a safe, therapeutic and confidential experience, individual therapy may be a good fit for you. Your therapist will assist you with identifying beliefs, values, thoughts, feelings and behaviors which may contribute to emotional and behavioral problems. Talk therapy may also help you improve relationships.

GROUP THERAPY
Group therapy is conducted with two or more people and is facilitated by a trained therapist. Group therapy provides a safe, therapeutic environment to learn and practice new skills, get useful feedback and improve interpersonal skills. You may get inspiration from others and even reduce thoughts and feelings of being alone.

CONTINUING EDUCATION & CONSULTING
Approved Continuing Education courses are available for professionals on the topic of racism, white supremacy and methods to improve practice.
Sobek, LLC also offers consulting services to individuals, groups and organizations to assist with developing programs and services to prevent and eliminate racism and white supremacy.
RACISM AND MENTAL HEALTH
Racism can be blatant and obvious or subtle and hidden. Racism may cause you to experience stress, anxiety, depression, anger and feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness and alienation. Being subjected to racism rather overt or covert may also contribute to a variety of social, psychological and physical health problems.
Have you ever felt marginalized and misunderstood? Maybe you have experienced racism in the workplace, in your community, place of worship, school or within your own family? Many times, people experience anxiety and depression because of the color of their skin, heritage, ethnicity or culture. Sadly, people experience racially motivated trauma, and are made to feel defective or inadequate because of the way they. And unfortunately, people are taunted and ostracized for being biracial which may also contribute to mental health problems.
